If you’re like most people, you probably have some sort of fitness goal that you’re working towards. And if you have apple watch you can use it to help you stay on track.
But what happens if your fitness goals change? Maybe you’ve decided to run a marathon instead of a 5K, or you want start lifting weights instead of just doing cardio.
Luckily, changing your fitness goals on Apple Watch is easy. Here’s how:
How to change your fitness goals on Apple Watch
You can change your fitness goals on your Apple Watch at any time to better suit your needs. This can be done right from watch app on your iPhone. Simply open the app, tap on the “My Watch” tab, tap on “Workout,” and then tap on “Change Goals.” From there, you can adjust your calorie, distance, and time goals.
Open the Activity app on your iPhone
On your iPhone, open the Activity app. Tap the watch tab then tap Goals. Under Move, tap to change your calorie goal, then tap Next. Tap to add or change your Exercise goal, then tap Next. Tap to add or change your Stand goal, then tap Save.
Tap the My Watch tab
If you need to adjust your fitness goals, start by tapping the My Watch tab. From here, select Health > Fitness Goals. You can then adjust your calorie, exercise, and standing goals to better reflect your current fitness levels.
Scroll down to the Goals section and tap Edit
From the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll down to the Goals section and tap Edit. Use the + and – buttons to set your move, exercise, and stand goals. When you’re done, tap Done.
Tap the goal that you want to change
Open the Activity app on your Watch.
Tap the goal that you want to change. You can change your calorie, distance, or time goal.
Turn the Digital Crown to adjust your goal, then tap Save when you’re done.
Tap the type of goal that you want to change it to
There are three types of fitness goals you track with Apple Watch: Move, Exercise, and Stand. You can change the goal for each type at any time.
To change the goal for a particular type:
-Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
-Tap the My Watch tab.
-Under the Physical and Activity sections, tap an item.
-Tap Change Goals.
-Use the + and – buttons to set new goals, or tap Learn more for more information about a goal type.
Enter the new goal information
The goal information screen lets you change many calories you want to burn, how many minutes of exercise you want to do, or how often you stand each day.
To change your fitness goals:
1. Open the Activity app on your Apple Watch.
2. Tap the My Watch tab.
3. Tap Health Goals.
4. Tap Edit in the upper-right corner of the screen.
5. Use the + and – buttons to adjust your calorie, exercise, and standing goals.
6. When you’re finished, tap Done in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Open the Activity app on your iPhone, then go to:
– Flower icon (for Today)
– Rings icon (for All History)
– List icon (for specific days)
Then, tap the workout that you want to edit > Show More > Edit.
