Verizon looks like they will get 64GB iPhone 5 using Verizon LTE 4G in January 2011!

June 29, 2010 2 comments

Yeah I said it! Apple iPhone 5 64GB with 3G + 4G using Verizon LTE. You gotta think. For Verizon to play catch up since not having the iPhone for three years and if you don’t know Apple strategy by now then let me enlighten you. Apple will always have an ace in a hole to guarantee high volume iPhone sales like they doing now with iPhone 4 based on more added features compared to last year iPhone 3GS. Think about it, you got the iPhone 4 now so what will it take for you to put it on Craigslist and camp out the Apple Store? Unlimited 4G Data Plan? Using FaceTime on 4G network? 8 Megapixel Camera? Or a Unlimited Talk, Data and Text for $99? Think about it.

Apple Announces iPhone 4 Sales of 1.7 Million, Most Successful Product Launch Ever

June 28, 2010 Leave a comment

Apple today announced that it has sold over 1.7 million of its iPhone 4 through Saturday, June 26, just three days after its launch on June 24. The new iPhone 4 features FaceTime, which makes video calling as easy as one tap, and Apple’s new Retina display, the highest resolution display ever built into a phone, resulting in stunning text, images and video.

“This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Even so, we apologize to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply.”

iPhone 4 also features a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, HD 720p video recording, Apple’s A4 processor, a 3-axis gyro and up to 40 percent longer talk time—in a beautiful all-new design of glass and stainless steel that is the thinnest smartphone in the world.

iPhone 4 comes with iOS 4, the newest version of the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, which features Multitasking, Folders, enhanced Mail, deeper Enterprise support and Apple’s new iAd mobile advertising platform.

Pricing & Availability
iPhone 4 is available in the US for a suggested retail price of $199 (US)* for the 16GB model and $299 (US) for the 32GB model in both Apple and AT&T’s retail and online stores, Best Buy, Radio Shack and Wal-Mart stores. iPhone 4 is also available in the UK, France, Germany and Japan and will be available in an additional 18 countries by the end of July—Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

*Qualified customers only. Requires a new two year AT&T rate plan, sold separately.

For both the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G, Apple announced sales of over one million for their respective launch weekends. It took 74 days for the Original iPhone to move one million units.

This is Speed Test I did with Sprint Sierra Wireless Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot on the 19th. This is the Speedtest.net results to Dallas, TX where I believe it’s the fastest server in Texas.
Sierra Wireless Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot (Sprint)Apple Airport Express

This can connect 5 devices by using 802.11g Wi-Fi, so that’s your iPad, iPhone 4, MacBook Pro. You can also use a Apple Airport Express Base Station to extend your devices plus use your 802.11n of your devices as well. I wanted to point this out if those feel restricted with AT&T’s 2GB Cap.

June 22, 2010 Leave a comment

Apple today announced that it has sold three million iPads in the 80 days since the device launched in the United States with Wi-Fi-only models on April 3rd.

Apple today announced that it sold its three millionth iPad yesterday, just 80 days after its introduction in the US. iPad is a revolutionary and magical product that allows users to connect with their apps, content and the Internet in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before.

“People are loving iPad as it becomes a part of their daily lives,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We’re working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more people around the world, including those in nine more countries next month.”

The press release also cites over 11,000 iPad-specific applications now available in the App Store.

Apple just three weeks ago announced that it had crossed the two-million threshold for iPad sales. The company is also gearing up for its next round of international iPad launches set for next month, with the device set to go on sale in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore. Apple reveals iPhone 4 has 512MB RAM that’s 2X iPad’s memory!

June 20, 2010 Leave a comment

Apple officials quietly confirmed at last week’s Worldwide Developers Conference that the forthcoming iPhone 4 has 512MB of RAM integrated into its custom A4 processor, according to a new report.

On Thursday, Apple confirmed the 512MB figure during one of the WWDC sessions held last week at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. That’s twice the RAM found in last year’s iPhone 3GS, as well as twice the 256MB found in the just-released iPad with the same A4 processor.

For comparison, the original iPhone and the following year’s iPhone 3G both had just 128MB of RAM.

The news that the latest A4 processor has 512MB of RAM directly contradicts photographic evidence of an iPhone 4 prototype disassembled in Vietnam. Solutions provider iFixit read the markings on that hardware, before iPhone 4 was formally announced, and found that the hardware had 256MB of RAM — the same amount of memory found inside the A4 processor on the iPad.

Apple’s custom-built A4 processor was first released in the iPad running at a 1GHz clock speed. It is packaged just like previous iPhone processors, with three layers of circuitry that include the microprocessor in one package, and two memory modules in the other.

Apple declined to announce the RAM or the clock speed of the A4 found inside iPhone 4 when it introduced the handset at last week’s WWDC keynote. Some have taken the fact that the speed was not revealed to mean that the processor is underclocked from its iPad counterpart, likely to achieve better battery life in the smaller form factor.

Update! New Mac mini has a SDXC Card Slot as stated in Manual!

June 18, 2010 Leave a comment
Written by Mark Wilson of Gizmodo

An unadvertised improvement in the new Mac Mini over other Mac products? SDXC card support, the newest SD specification that’s expandable to 2TB and features higher bus speeds. Not a big deal, but some dude who just barely talked himself into buying a new Mac Mini is probably fist-pumping like a mad man all the same.

My Take: This is a real deal especially if you have the New Canon SD4000 IS, Canon EOS T2i and or Sandisk 64GB SDXC Card.

My Take 2: Mark Wilson should had read his manual on “page 28Chapter 2   Life with Your Mac mini  before jumping the gun and say its unadvertised!
